Volunteering and Donation Needs

Get Involved

Pivotal Point Transitional Housing relies heavily on the gift of time from volunteers. There are several ways to get involved and make a difference in the lives of local families:

Apartment Volunteers & Spiritual Direction

We are always looking for volunteers to assist in the day to day operations of our Transitional Housing program. Possible volunteer opportunities: sort & organize pantry supplies, clean & stock apartments for new residents, small outdoor projects, etc. We would love to meet with you and discuss all the possible ways you can help support Pivotal Point by volunteering your precious time. Individuals and groups of all ages and sizes are welcome, we have projects for everyone!

There is also is a need for volunteers in Spiritual Direction to come alongside residents for prayer, encouragement, support and care. You may offer guidance to a resident beginning a weekly budget or assist them in preparing for a job interview. In any given week, there's a need or residents to receive a kind word or some encouragement.

Life Skills

Volunteers are needed to share their skills or hobbies with Pivotal Point Transitional Housing residents. Residents of Pivotal Point Transitional Housing are required to attend a life skills class each week, provided it does not conflict with their work schedule. These classes generally cover topics such as nutrition, budgeting and ways to save money, cooking, work skills and hobbies such as yoga and art. Each class is about one hour in length.

Are you are interested in teaching a life skills class?
